Heather Fernandes, a freelance graphic designer, social media manager, website designer, certified Google AdWords specialist, and digital marketing consultant, is passionate about working with small businesses and nonprofits. She is dedicated to helping them build their brands and connect with customers through strategic marketing.
As a testament to her commitment to the community, Heather annually donates a comprehensive marketing package to a group that makes a significant impact in their sphere of influence. She finds great joy in giving back and supporting those who work tirelessly to help others. Background: Growing up in New Hampshire, Heather earned her Associate's degree in Communications from Mount Wachusett Community College. Her career took shape when she began working at a small communications company in Peterborough, NH. She simultaneously volunteered at the Peterborough Recreation Department as a youth soccer coach. It was during her time there, while offering to answer phones, that she discovered her passion for recreation. The intricate details of developing a comprehensive recreation program captivated her, leading her to coordinate fitness programs, soccer camps, hiking trips, and ski trips. Heather utilized her marketing skills to promote these programs and took on the additional responsibilities of program design, hiring, and management. Within the recreation industry, Heather developed expertise in several key areas, including development, community relations, project management, marketing, teaching, and budgeting. She served as Vice President of the New Hampshire Recreation and Park Association and also designed their logo. After leaving the recreation field to start a family in Middleboro, MA, Heather founded Heather Fernandes Marketing, a full-service digital marketing agency. She specializes in working with small businesses and nonprofit organizations, focusing on nurturing brand authenticity through modern marketing. Heather's services include designing new logos, creating mobile-friendly websites, managing social media channels, and rebranding groups and organizations.
